This means you are subject to federal laws when flying and medical marijuana is federally illegal.

In fact, even if you are flying between states that have legalized cannabis, it is still advisable to leave your cannabis at home.

Road Travel In The US

If you are planning to travel from San Jose via road, the same rules apply.
